Our values
We belong to the younger members of the Vincentian Family, and we strive to bring Vincent’s dream and vision to our own time and place - and in our own way.
Vincent, in the 17th Century was inspired by the Gospel call to follow Christ, and to discover Him especially in the lives of those who were poor. His involvement in the lives of people who were oppressed transformed Vincent, and changed him forever. This led him to action; action which took the form of a deep commitment to the elimination of poverty and injustice. In this way he brought hope to those whose lives were bound by unjust systems.
Our Mission Statement invites us to respond to the call of Christ in the Gospel, to be changed in ways we cannot yet understand. We believe that by being fully involved in the Vincentian Volunteer programme we will have opportunities, and be inspired to:
