Reflective weekend

Where: Lytham St Anne’s
When: 30th Oct – 1st Nov 2009

Presenter: Sr Barbara and co-ordinators Sr Susan Molloy and Maureen Denning

The purpose of the first weekend after the Induction is to give the volunteers an opportunity to share some of their experiences of the last six or seven weeks;  to iron out any difficulties that might have occurred; to clarify and discuss whatever seems important and to allow time for oneself and with the others for relaxation.

During the weekend the volunteers will have four reflections covering all parts of the programme in which each person can look at the journey of the Vincentian Volunteer so far:

  • Looking at ourselves
  • Looking at our communities
  • Looking at our service of people who are poor
  • Looking at our relationship with God.

Some of these reflections can be shared, others are for the individual.  The importance of the weekend is to reflect and see what is happening in our hearts and lives, to celebrate what has been significant, and to make any changes that are going to make for a richer experience.
