REVIVE is a Christian organisation established in 2002 by the Holy Ghost Fathers (aka Spiritans) supporting refugees and people seeking asylum. The team of dedicated social workers, volunteers and priests provide specialised casework, advocacy support to clients in areas such as housing, health care, education, legal representation, NASS (National Asylum Support Services), spiritual and emotional support and signposting relevant services. There is also an emergency food service offered. All services are free of charge to individuals regardless of race or religion.

On a day to day basis REVIVE provides a series of projects and events designed to empower those who use them, help them to learn new skills, meet new people, strengthen their self confidence and ultimately assist them to full integration into local communities.

The Vincentian Volunteer is offered appropriate training, and becomes part of the team. There are various services in which the volunteer can become involved: creative art group; family outings, women’s group, and the allotment project. He/she can also become involved in fundraising, administration and research, or simply befriending or interpreting. There is plenty of scope for the volunteer to use his/her own gifts, and to have responsibility in this work dealing with extremely vulnerable and isolated people within the community – and be a sign of hope!
