Resources

“If God is the centre of your life, no words will be needed.  Your mere presence will touch hearts”  St Vincent de Paul

We have many resources at our disposal for our spiritual and human development, as well as all we find in our work placements, and in the friendships we make during the year.

  • Community nights
  • Spiritual Direction
  • Community weekends
  • Silent Retreat
  • Samuel Group
  • Vincentian Gatherings
  • Local “faith” events
  • Sharing “interfaith” meetings
  • Vincentian Millennium Partnership
  • Justice groups
  • Use of library, Internet

Every day there are opportunities for us to develop and grow, and we need these resources but our greatest resource is each other, and our day to day experiences with the people we are serving, whose lives we touch, and who touch us in so many indefinable ways.

St Vincent de Paul met God most powerfully among sick, abandoned and hungry people – those on the edge of society:

“They became the lenses through which he glimpsed God at work in the world….Forsaken people, worthy in themselves, were the holy ground where Vincent encountered the living God.”  Thomas McKenna CM
